Larkinville will soon be gaining more residents as the Hydraulic Lofts move closer to occupancy. The luxury apartments are located within the “live/work/play” mixed-use development 500 Seneca, which was developed by Savarino Companies and Frontier Group of Companies.
The lofts feature several dozen unique layouts ranging from a 600 sq. ft. studio to a 1500 sq. ft. two bedroom unit. Rents range from $740 to $1925.
Unit features include restored wood or polished concrete floors, quartz countertops, high ceilings, large custom windows, in-unit laundry, and industrial touches like Edison bulb lighting.
Residents will have 24/7 access to the building’s two-story fully equipped fitness center, exterior courtyard, and interior atrium. Unique amenities include an indoor bike storage and repair area, secured parking, animal day care, full service spa, tenant common area with courtyard terrace, and secure private storage. On-site eating and drinking options include a soon-to-be-announced full service Italian restaurant, The Lunchbox café, and Tommyrotters Distillery.
The lofts occupy the oldest part of the 500 Seneca complex as well as much of the second floor in the remainder of the building, which was built in a series of seven additions between 1901 and 1907. Steps from Larkin Square, it was originally the F.N. Burt Company box manufacturing plant and later used by New Era Cap Co. ‘The Hydraulics’ was the name of Buffalo’s original manufacturing district, which occupied the area from the 1820’s.
Chaintreuil Jensen Stark is the architect. Interior design was done by Kelly O’Connor of OCG Commercial Interiors.
