Project overview

FGC and Savarino Companies worked together to build a five-story luxury apartment building with 78 one- and two-bedroom units and first-floor commercial space.

The facility includes a fitness center, bike and kayak storage, ground-level covered parking, and private floating docks. The free-standing building is situated on the site of the former Erie Freight House and is designed to pay homage to the history and architecture of the neighborhood. FGC remediated the contaminated site under the NYS Brownfield Cleanup Program.

History of location (1860 - 2016)

Buffalo River Landing represents the next chapter of a historic site that once held the Erie Freight House, a circa 1860s warehouse from a pivotal period in Buffalo’s past. Freight houses such as this handled and stored cargo from the shipping trade so critical to the growth and development of the city.
